The Botín Foundation allocated 220,000 euros to fine arts scholarships for training, research and personal projects in the field of artistic creation (not theoretical works), for artists of any nationality.
The Fundación Botín may reserve a scholarship for artists resident in Cantabria, or natural provided that the application understands change of residence. The aid will be direct, indivisible and non-transferable. Do not cover family benefits. The enjoyment of this aid is incompatible with any other institutional aid.
The time of enjoyment of this scholarship will be nine months. Scholarships outside the place of origin can be extended for another period, annual request within the period of the public announcement.
The endowment of scholarships are as follows:
Without change of residence: 16,000 euros.
With transfer to another country, other than their current residence: 24,000 euros.
The above amounts include the concepts of travel, accommodation, maintenance, rental Studio, etc.
These amounts will be increased with health insurance (only if there is a change of country of residence) and, in the case of the training, the enrollment in the chosen training center, upon acceptance of the same, which shall be borne by the Fundación Botín.
These grants are subject to current taxation in Spain.
Form of payment: 45% at the beginning of the enjoyment, 25% in the two following natural quarters and 5% upon receipt of the final report.
Conditions have between 23 and 40 years for the training. No age limit concerning research and personal projects.
Aid will be enjoyed from its concession, by the agreed period and without interruption. Your home is imperative before the end of 2014.
It will be deemed definitively awarded when the written acceptance of the applicant has had input in the Foundation.
The application form must be completed via the web www.fundacionbotin.org. The rest of the documentation should be sent obligatorily in paper by stating on the envelope fine arts scholarship. It is obligatory has filled in form on the web which can be associated with documentation. The documentation provided to the request shall preferably be in Spanish, will exceptionally be accepted in English. By organisation and assessment documentation from the applicant must be in format DinA4 occupying a maximum of 40 Din A4 single sided (must have Staples, not be bound). Any request that does not conform to this standard shall be refused. In the case of audiovisual projects, the artist may give a DVD accompanying the required dossier. The dossier presented to the call for this scholarship will not be returned after the resolution of the same. The Foundation reserves the right to request, prior indication of the jury, the submission of additional documents.
Papers required
Photocopy of the NIF or NIE residents, passport or call sign document of the Hacienda of his country.
Passport-size photo.
Curriculum vitae, with indication of studies, professional activities, exhibitions, prizes, scholarships, etc. (max. 3 DinA4 on one side only).
Graphic, prints or photocopies in color of the artist’s work (will not accept original, or accompanying documents such as catalogues, brochures, original works, etc.).
For research and personal projects:
Project title and summary (maximum 100 words).
Report of the project: objective, plan of action (development phases and dates) and personal justification for the convenience of carrying it out. (maximum 10 DinA4 on one side)
For scholarships:
Information about the Center for training or residence chosen (place, time limits, rates, etc.) EnDinA4 on one side.
Memory with personal justification about the desirability of their stay and relationship with their current projects. (maximum 3 DinA4 on one side only).
The deadline for completing the application online form and receive the documentation in the Fundación Botín ends at 14: 00 of Wednesday, April 30, 2014. The documentation provided in the Fundación Botín in the week after the closure of the call will be accepted and whose postmark corresponds to April 30, 2014 or earlier. The decision will be announced July 1, 2014 through the web: www.fundacionbotin.org.
