artist in residence is a joint program of the CA2M and La Casa Encendida, whose purpose is to support the creation within the field of dance and work with the body from other disciplines offering artists spaces for experimentation and for the presentation of their proposals.
this program is directed to artists whose usual scope of work is the dance, and those that work with the body from other artistic disciplines.
the maximum duration is eight weeks in the LCE and the CA2M facilities. Schedules and work spaces will be agreed according to the needs of the project and the availability of spaces in the centres.
the prize is 2,000 euros per period of residence in fees.
to apply for a residence period, you need to fill the tab which is located at this link or at www.lacasaencendida.es the application form online shall be accompanied by a curriculum (maximum three folios), and to develop project (maximum 3 pages). It will be sent by email to: casaencendida@cajamadrid.es with the subject artists in residence 2014. We accept projects in Spanish or English
deadline for applications ends on December 16, 2013. Projects will be assessed jointly by LCE and the CA2M, and selected projects, maximum of eight per year, audiences on both websites will be on January 13, 2014.
during the period of residence, you can arrange meetings, seminars or workshops related to projects to develop in the residences, and always according to the residents, organize well public presentations or well restricted to professionals in order to enrich the work processes. Once the period of residence, LCE and the CA2M valued each of the proposals to determine the relevance of their public presentation within its programming, in which case, subject to the principles that govern such programming.
